How It Works
​
a pick-up coil detects string vibrations
​
an amplifier uses the energy stored in the battery to increase the amplitude of that signal
​
the amplified signal is sent to a drive coil, which causes the amplitude of the string's vibration to increase
​
this increased vibration is detected by the pick-up coil, creating a continuous positive feedback loop
